Dan Carter has described Team New Zealands boat Te Rehutai as mind-blowing after spending a day with the Americas Cup defenders.
On the back of his announcement confirming his retirement from rugby, the All Blacks great got up close to yachting’s pinnacle event and had only admiration for New Zealands top yachties and their flying monohull.
A magical day out there, it was a pretty strong wind, so the boat was flying. To see that in close and in person, it was awesome, Carter said.
