Melbourne Cup winning hoop Michael Rodd will move back to Queensland to reunite with his family and continue his riding career in the Sunshine State.
Rodd plans to cross the Victorian border when it opens on Monday and will base himself in Brisbane from next month after completing quarantine in NSW.
The jockey started the year riding in Singapore but made the decision to move to Melbourne when the coronavirus pandemic brought racing to a halt in the Asian jurisdiction.
