New Zealand’s dual Olympic rowing gold medallist Mahe Drysdale retires – Stuff.co.nz

The 42-year-old won gold at London in 2012 and Rio 2016 but missed out on selection for the team to compete at Tokyo.

Champion single sculler Mahe Drysdale has retired ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.
The 42-year-old announced his decision to hang up the oars ahead of Fridays official naming of the New Zealand rowing team for the Games, with Drysdale not part of the squad.
