Northcote shooting: Mother fears her young son may be blind as the result of facial injuries – Stuff.co.nz

Family members say the victim is a 16-year-old boy who has suffered facial injuries as the result of a gunshot while at the local basketball court.

The police investigation into a shooting in Northcote on Friday night continues, with a teenage boy understood to have suffered facial injuries.
Police were alerted to the shooting on Auckland’s North Shore at about 7pm.
Upon attending it was established a person had been taken to North Shore Hospital with a gunshot injury, a police spokeswoman said.
The victim was in stable condition last night.
