A Dunedin tenancy manager received an ounce of cannabis in exchange for renting out a student flat for a significant cannabis growing operation.
Michael Kinraid, 33, appeared on a charge of cultivating cannabis before Judge Peter Rollo in the Dunedin District Court on Friday.
Kinraid worked as a manager for his familys company, which manages more than 30 flats around Dunedin.
The court heard Kinraid turned a blind eye to a cannabis operation inside one of the flats he managed.
