Works begins so sport can return to Christchurch’s Lancaster Park –

The Christchurch City Council plans to spend $11.6m redeveloping Christchurch’s famed Lancaster Park.

Sport will once again be played on Christchurchs famed Lancaster Park, but not until early next year.
The community will also have to wait a few more years before additional facilities including a sports pavilion, toilets, and playground are built.
The Christchurch City Council has budgeted $11.6 million to redevelop the park in stages between now and 2027.
